I would love for each vocalist to have time to perform their material top to bottom,
and then receive feedback from the ensemble, the audience (the other participants) and the vocal coach (that would be me!)
Then try it again if you’d like, while applying some of those helpful tips.
It’s an invaluable opportunity to work through your songs in a safe and supportive atmosphere.
We will get comfortable on the mic,
learn the right cues to give the band,
How to get into and out of a song,
work on your stage presence,
making sure that your charts read down easily for the instrumentalists,
feel the support of live accompaniment to interact with and respond to musically etc. etc.
Bring your lead sheets or scores (in your key) for the instrumentalists to accompany you (two copies plz)
